Hi I’m Torey (she/her) and this is Lucky the camp dog! I began working at Camp Rotary as a counsellor in 2012 and instantly fell in love with Camp Rotary, the campers, and my fellow staff.
It is impossible to leave Camp Rotary after a summer and be unchanged. Camp Rotary has touched the lives of so many people, campers, and counsellors alike. I hope you get a chance to catch a glimpse of what makes camp so magical.
I have worked at Camp Rotary as a counsellor, cleaning staff, and the Program Director. I have seen camp through a variety of positions and am so excited to see camp from a whole new perspective as the Camp Director. Camp is a city within itself which has been created specifically with our campers in mind. I can’t wait to contribute to the safety, accessibility, and fun.
I have worked for D-Camps East as a counsellor, and D-Camps West as the Program Director. I graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University with a degree in Child and Youth Studies where I geared my last year toward critical disability studies. I've worked at the Chaleur Autism and Aspergers Resource Centre for a summer, and spent the first 5 years of my career working for Inclusion NB in a variety of capacities. I always knew I wanted to be an advocate alongside the disability community and my transition to Camp Director at Camp Rotary is a natural and logical move for me.
I encourage you to take some time to delve into our website. If you have any additional questions about the programs we offer, our facilities, or how to go about applying for the summer of 2023, please feel free to give us a call at (506) 458-8739.
Yours in camping,
